Taking Online High School Classes: Get Your Degree

Online high school classes include the General Educational Development exam or GED that allow students, mostly adults, who never finished high school, to receive their diploma without having to go back to high school. Many sites offer study guides for the online high school classes to help students pass the GED test. The GED exam was started during WWII to help soldiers prepare for the high school diploma before enlisting.

The GED consists of five subtests on these topics: science, social studies, mathematics, language arts/reading and writing. Approximately 97% of colleges and universities accept a GED instead of a formal diploma.
